Tacos Beyrut

I recommend you this original Mexican Arab fusion! The taco Arabe is made with pork and the taste is magnificent. In a shawarma style but all the Mexican flavor "Tacos Beiruth" are the best.

Arab Tacos are delicious tacos and very popular in Puebla. Hard to find them in other cities in Mexico.The taco árabe, or “Arab-style taco,” is perhaps the most popular fast food in Puebla. Introduced in 1933, the Middle Eastern take on the tortilla-as-delivery system features sliced, spit-roasted pork wrapped in pita-style flatbread.“To come to Puebla and not eat a taco árabe — a dish that’s reached its silver anniversary — is like missing out on mole or a cemita,” the magazine La Intolerancia says in a 2008 cover story on the subject. In other words, skipping the experience would be a sacrilege.I was born in Puebla and I have lived in the USA for many years. But every time I visit and I am in Puebla I have to stop at tacos Beyrut.There are hundreds of taquerias that sell tacos Arabes, but NONE like Beyrut. The quality of the meat and the flavors are the BEST!If you are vegetarian, try the Falafels.You can also order “tortas” (the meat put in the roll). They are equally delicious.I personally order a torta and a taco in “Pita” bread.Do not miss this great place while you are in Puebla.It is not fancy, and you will spend that much money.
