Koi Japanese Buffet - Hermitage

The food was great. You have several choices. Sushi Bar is amazing. Service was good and staff was very friendly.

EDI/NEW REVIEW Before I gave this place a 3. I have been back twice since this review, and I must say they have improved - much! Various sushi rolls on the buffet, fresh and always in stock. The egg drop soup is amazing here. The hot food was taken up immediately both times. The Hibachi was up and running. The dessert bar is generic and somehow back away from everything else, but that's okay. The bathrooms are located on the back of the restaurant. The ONLY thing I propose is this: a better lighting (because it's kind of gloomy), and keep the toilets clean and well lit (also gloomy), and maybe offer a few more items on dessert and hot bars, place out of the seat a little. This place compete with Sushi Train, and if Koi fixes these problems, they would easily beat sushi train not only for quality, but also for price.

Some of the meat is a little over boiled {steak, chicken and pig} and hard. Sushi is very good. Nice variety. Good price.

The food is great. Service is good typical buffet service. Love the sushi my son super loves the sushi! they also have other foods that picky kids will eat. If they would turn some air conditioning on it that place it would 5 star worthy. But the hotter you are the less food you will consume, so being a buffet they won't be changing that anytime soon
