Bidra med feedbackI have been to this restaurant a couple of times now, and both times I opted for the burger menu. The first time, I upgraded my chips to chili cheese which was amazing but very filling. My husband had the mixed grill during our first visit and the gammon during the second visit, and he was really pleased with both dishes. The desserts are also delicious.
The Balance Inn in Luston, located on the alternative route from Ludlow to Leominster, is a very welcoming and relaxed pub offering a variety of cask ales and house wines. Initially disappointed by the limited choice of starters on the menu, we opted to skip a starter and both ordered mains and desserts instead. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered that there were other starters available. I chose the Whitebait and my dining companion chose the Baked Camembert, both of which were excellent. The Whitebait was served in a pint tankard, while the Camembert came with toasted bread sticks and rocket. As for our main courses, we intended to both order the Whole Sea Bream, but there was only one available. I ended up ordering the Monkfish and Prawn Linguine, which was absolutely delicious. As we were leaving, we noticed a special offer of two cod chips and a bottle of house wine for a perfect meal deal.
I was staying in the area for a week and decided to try out some of the local pubs to avoid having to cook. I came across this relaxed pub in Luston with friendly staff. Although the menu wasn't extensive, the chicken/bacon and avocado salad I ordered was very good, made with fresh ingredients and a great dressing. My partner had the fish and chips, which was also good and value for money. The best part was that the pub is dog-friendly, so we were able to bring our dogs to the beer garden and enjoy chatting with locals while drinking beer in the evening sun. What's not to like about that experience?
Popped in for lunch, had not been for years. Chose from the sandwich menu but got very different results. One choice was on doorstep bread, the other more of an open sandwich on just one slice or of bread. Both were lovely but it would...have been nicer to know more about the size of meal we were ordering. Great tastes and interesting choices for a ‘light lunch’. God, helpful service if a little on the slow side, the pub was not apparently very busy at the time.
Great pub with first rate food and great beers.generally well stocked with regulars and dogs.very close to english salvage and leominster reclamation
