Bidra med feedbackNice little tea room. Reasonably priced cakes hot drinks. Lovely views of the river Wye. Efficient service, not particularly friendly but the staff were very young. Tables not cleaned once customers left which isn’t good in current times but, other than that, a pleasant enough place.
What a delightful discovery! Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome. We ordered a sandwich and baguettes, which arrived promptly and tasted wonderfully fresh. We were highly impressed. The staff were all incredibly kind and friendly. Additionally, all safety measures were in place for COVID-19.
Having completed the challenging decent from Symonds Yat, we stopped at Rosie's for lunch on the terrace overlooking the River Wye. Our snack was excellent, I had a baguette and my wife a jacket potato and salad. The food was very good and the service was very pleasant and first class Highly recommended for a midday pit stop.
Had a lovely ploughman’s lunch and my partner had a lovely ham sandwich. Then we had 2 coffees which were nice. Staff were very friendly and the cost was reasonable would recommend.
Nice place for a spot of tea and cake. Gorgeous warm scone of adequate size. No frills with fancy colourful crockery or huge scones or chinz table cloths etc. The tearoom is not a posh sparkling birthday extravaganza location but it’s nice. I liked the flowers growing in the terrace and the tables and chairs with parasols were perfectly placed to watch the world go by on the river. A bit hot under the plastic roofing on a warm day but I bet you would be super glad of it on a wet day. The bread for the “baguette” was so very fresh and tasty and the scones were delicious. The two girls were very very friendly and it seemed genuine rather than faked. They were lovely. A toilet on site and chairs reasonably comfortable. Prices seemed ok. Menu not vast, would have liked a chicken Mayo option on the old sarnies and maybe a chicken bacon option on the potato’s but yes we liked it and will go again without hesitation. Note if you haven’t been to Symonds Yat East before parking is a nightmare here so if it’s weekends or holidays arrive early to get a space, book here for lunch and go for a 3 hour walk. One of the best things about these places is the hand ferry but don’t rely on them. They are staff dependent and I have seen many a group arrive on the other side of the river to find no ferry working and not enough signage to know this is the case so they sit over there waiting for a boat that never comes.
