Had an amazing 2 nights at The Castlefields in one of their log cabins. The cabin was fully equipped to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. The unit was spacious and had a lovely flow out onto the deck, outdoor seating area and to the hot tub. There were gowns provided and lovely large towels. Our meal in the restaurant was stunning. I had a very generous portion of the chicken curry. The service from the staff was excellent. The accomodation is suitable for my elderly parents so I will definitely be booking to come back with them. We visited nearby Hay on Wye which was 5 minutes away and very quaint with all of its bookshops, antique stores and independents. Thanks to the hosts Ian and Carol for a lovely weekend. Stayed for 3 nights in log cabin on site. Stunning area, rolling hills, quiet. Plenty of scenic areas to visit. Cabin was fitted out to a high standard, hot tub was a great addition on the outside deck. Restaurant open Saturday and Sunday for food which is homely, great portion sizes and well priced. A must try. Carol and Ian could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Would absolutely recommend a stay here.
