Rising Sun - Henley-On-Thames

A very nice country pub in a quiet location. It was unfortunate that there was only 1 chef in the kitchen so food took a while to arrive. The food was a little disappointing.

Great character pub with delicious food good friendly service. Noise from Jazz was a little too much for our elderly mother but we loved it!

A real country pub. In the woods, although Henley nearby to keep the wife happy with a spot of retail therapy. Blazing fires, lots of board games, not a prissy gastro pub. Very friendly lady brought a coffee and Telegraph while I waited for my friend. Excellent menu, super soup and doorstep sandwiches, nice to see vegan/veggie choices well thought out and not one dismal last item on a menu as so often. Next time I shall try the welsh rarebit !. Very good food, large portions and excellent service.

Beautiful location, and good, on a cold winter day to come to a log fire. the food was usually very good, but we waited almost one and a half hours before it arrived, and not all the meals came when the order was grounded. as a result that most of our group had finished their meals before the rest of the food arrived. pity! despite the problems we held for pudding that was good again, although some of them seemed like half portions?! would recommend yet, but double check their food order is correct and ready to wait one!
