Bidra med feedbackEnjoyed a Sunday Brunch with two dear friends recently and it was lovely. I had the omelet with a side of fresh fruit and fried potatoes. My one friend had the zucchini ravioli and the other friend had the truffle frittata. All were excellent. The wait staff were friendly and attentive but did not hover and even brought a chocolate cake dessert for our birthday girl with a lit candle and sang Happy Birthday to her! We sat on the expansive wrap-around porch and when it began raining, staff simply lowered the tan shades to keep us dry. Good time had by all!
Order anything off the menu, the chef is amazing so there are no bad choices. The escargot and duck confit with ratatouille were phenomenal. They have a good selection of hand-crafter cocktails as well.
One and done. Went here last night for their monthly wine paring dinner. First off the porch propane heaters were so hot I felt my head burning from the heat. Asked the hostess to move us or turn it off. She would not move us but did turn it down. It was still too hot. The food was good to bad. The mussel soup was good but only 2 of the 4 mussel shells contained a mussel. Plus no place to put the shells to actually eat the soup. The fried green tomatoes were good. The salmon mouse was bland and the pumpernickel bread was tasteless like it came from Aldi. The main entree Pork dish was so dry and over cooked I could barely eat it. But I was hungry. My wife didn't eat it as well as other customers we noticed. The desert was very good. The wine was fun and ok. Nothing we would buy however. The wine and Sage staff were great. The wine salespeople were nice. Restaurant staff not friendly but the served the food well enough. Gave it 2 stars because 2 of the five courses were good. Nothing great. Left hungry and disappointed. Too bad because I was expecting much better food and experience.
