Bidra med feedbackI absolutely adore the name of this restaurant. Anything with a clever pun instantly grabs my attention. Heidelburger is conveniently located near the train station, making it an easy stop for commuters. I recently dined here with a friend who is a food influencer from Melbourne and loves sandwiches. The burgers here are of good quality and my friend particularly enjoyed the steak sandwich. The restaurant is impeccably clean, with plenty of seating and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff provided friendly service throughout our visit. In a saturated market for burgers, Heidelburger manages to stand out and hold its own.
I especially enjoyed the huge burger called "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" - it was incredibly delicious, flavorful, and well-cooked. It was definitely a large burger, but luckily I had some friends with me to help finish it. The Italian Snack Pack was a brilliant choice. The chips were crispy, the sauce was tasty, and the meatballs were incredibly delicious. It was truly a delightful dish. However, I was slightly let down by "The Italiano" burger. It lacked flavor compared to the others, as the cheese and basil mayo didn't add much to the burger and the overall taste felt a bit underwhelming. It wasn't a bad burger, but it could use some improvements to truly stand out in my opinion. I highly recommend trying the tiramisu milkshake - it was delicious and had a strong coffee flavor. It was a nice break from the fried foods. Overall, this restaurant has great potential with some delicious options on the menu.
Heidelberger Bar is a new burger restaurant located in central Heidelberg. Owned by the same person as 'Bean There' across the street, this place offers a unique twist on burgers with a Mediterranean/Italian influence. The decor is pleasing with bright yellow lights and wooden tables, and we enjoyed sitting near the window. We tried the Calabrese with Charcoal Bun, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly on Matcha Bun, Italian Snack Pack, and Nutella/Oreo, Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Banana shakes. The burgers were amazing, with perfectly cooked meat and delicious flavors. The Italian Snack Pack was a standout dish, served with fries, Italian metal sugo, melted cheese, and basil mayo. The shakes were also impressive, especially the Banana, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate one. The staff were attentive and made our experience enjoyable. We look forward to returning to Heidelberger next time we're in the area, and highly recommend this place.
We had the doppio (double patty) burger and the Classico. I had mine on a gluten-free bun which was pretty good! Meat patties are thicker Italian style with delicious herbs. Very tasty... We shared a small sweet potato chips, small size was only $5 and there was enough for both of us. Will be back to try the other burgers.
New burger place! I have visited twice now. <br/ <br/ First visit, I ordered the “Italiano” burger because of the cheese upgrade, and I love sundried tomatoes. <br/ <br/ Second visit, I ordered the “Classico” because it’s their regular, and don’t think the $2.50 price premium for the Italiano was worth it. Also ordered onion rings. <br/ <br/ The burgers here are delicious and a good size! The beef patty was nice and thick, with decent flavour. On my 1st visit, the patty was a bit dry, but was perfect on the 2nd visit! <br/ <br/ Heidelburger serves the best burgers on Burgundy St and in the vicinity of Austin Hospital and Heidelberg train station. Burgers at “The Train Yard” and “Alleyway” aren’t as good, IMO. Too small, and expensive for what you get in return. “The Fish”, which is a nearby fish chip shop on Burgundy St sells very good burgers for the price (roughly $10!!!!!! , but they’re too oily, and frequently drip. I prefer Heidelburger, then either The Fish or Alleyway, while Train Yard ranks last. <br/ <br/ The onion rings were great. Was very happy with them! <br/ <br/ Haven’t had the chips. Next time.
