Bidra med feedbackWe were in a private party in a next room and the location was fantastic as the service. eating (starter and main) was average. it was presented beautifully, but it was lacking in taste. but the desert selection was excellent.
My wife and I were here two nights to visit the high time of my niece. I can not comment on eating because we at another place have eaten the first night and at the high time, which was possibly treated by the borderyard kitchen (excellent, anyway). the rooms are cozy, quiet and comfortable. our room was a two-stage with steep steps that had to climb to the loft where the bed was. no problem for me, but older people would have foreseen that this could be difficult. the breakfast buffet was very good, and the staff is overall helpful, friendly and polite. the event hall (the modified scheune) is stylish and welcoming without signs of kitschigen car wheels and easily accommodated 90 guests.
One stayed here at night, but could have stayed longer. we had 202 junior suit, which was beautiful. 35€ taxi ride to the old town quite comfortable. the breakfast was a bit hard to order as hot food. will they have stayed?
Was here for a business dinner and was surprised by the quality and the knowledge of all positiw. had asparagus as starter. perfectly cooked with large butter, pancakes and a little ham. the kalbs as a head was very good. it wasn't a regular choice ot the...a la carte menu, but they where allowed, that of the setmenu. thank you for that. a large selection of different cheeses ended this great meal
The restaurant of the 4star Hotel Grenzhof in Heidelberg is listed in the Michelin Guide, serving regional cuisine with flair. Whether a romantic dinner for two or a family gathering, meals can be enjoyed in the cosy main dining room, the Biergarten or the Wintergarten....Grenzhof is actually not open for lunch but we managed to get a table last Saturday because the kitchen was open to serve a wedding party. The menu offered was smaller than its regular à la carte menu, but the choices (3 appetisers, 3 mains and 3 desserts) were a decent variety of soup, salads, pasta, meats, seafood and sweets. Between the 8 of us, we sampled almost all the dishes offered. The restaurant sources most of its ingredients locally, and they even grow their own herbs and vegetables! We enjoyed our meal at Grenzhof creative and delicious food, excellent local wines, friendly and attentive service. Worth the splurge!
