Al Diane's Red Onion Lounge - Heber

This restaurant seems to be selective about their customers. My boyfriend, who is a person of color, and I wanted to order some food to go. We could clearly see that there were open seats at the bar but we were told that we had to wait 20 minutes, as if we were dining in. While we were waiting, another couple walked in and sat at the bar without being told they had wait. I thought I heard them call my name, so we went with the hostess. They were actually calling the party who arrived after us. Not knowing what to do with us, the hostess sat us at a nearby table for two. It took several minutes for a waitress to stop by our table. We ordered but were never offered water while we waited. The food was marginal. We had the green chile burger, which was supposed to be cooked to medium. It was more like well done. Of course, we ordered their famous onion rings. We were disappointed that they are not homemade but the same frozen onion rings that can be found everywhere. Suffice it to say, best to pass by the Red Onion Lounge and eat somewhere else.

Took over an hour for an average burger, bottom of the barrel fries. Looked like they just gave me all of the leftover scraps. The cod basket was horrible. The cod was soaking in the basket in the cod juice so it was soggy. The prices are too high. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

They grind their own meat here, that is a game changer. The burgers are juicy and delicious. I had the monster burger. The green chilies are fresh and the bacon was perfect. This is a must stop. Great tweebel rings, good riders, all about the burger was good, except the burger pattie, which was ordered at a medium, was a bit dry. beer was good and the server were excellent! it had a nice atmosphere and yes, I would go back there. I will try the burger in a medium rare. I put a photo on, but what can I say? I was hungry, so you get a photo of the To-Go box.

We both had a steak dinner and was disappointed to say the least. The steak was good but the potatoes were still hard inside. I pointed out the problem and was given fries instead which were even worse! Cooked too fast, hard inside, overcooked and greasy outside. We weren't given the bread rolls. We had two thirds eaten the meat by the time the potatoes came. We were told we'd be taken care of which I took to mean the bill would be adjusted but they charged us the same price and at $31 per meal was frankly a cheek. They only offer potatoes, no vegetable with steak meal. This level of service would not work in a larger town they wouldn't get returning customers. The ambience of the place is nice and the staff were friendly. Won't be going back. Seriously don't know why they don't adjust the bill of an obvious problem. Furthermore our waitress said everyone is complaining about the potatoes tonight....so, maybe fix the problem then?
