Mooch - Hebden Bridge

This place looked really inviting from outside and had a nice atmosphere inside. We both had a chai latte and each had a slice of cake. The cake and drinks were lovely. But, the attitude of the young lady who served us left a lot to be desired. She was quite abrupt and left you feeling like you'd really put her out to have to serve you. We were on the point of just saying to leave it and go. I don't understand why people are like that in the service industry.

This is a nice cafe and we have been a few times as we live in Hebden and it stays open until eight. However, like other reviews I must say some of the staff are very unfriendly and having waited for about fifteen mins we asked if we could place our order. We were greeted with a very sullen reply. I noticed then that the staff were laughing and looking at our table. The Scottish staff member is terrific and never anything but helpful.

Visited today for breakfast. We were shown to a table and order was taken quickly. We waited 20 mins for coffee. When I asked if we could have our coffee, I was told quite abruptly that we were in a queue got the impression that I should not have asked Food arrived 35 mins after ordering. Far too long a wait and no apology for wait offered.Service and staff attitude to customers is not the best .Would not return.

We liked the look of this place and popped in to ask to see the menu. A very warm unfussy welcome looked promising and we were seated in the cosy conservatory. Two warm salads and chai latte later we left very happy. My only comment to fellow readers is that this place deserves to be higher up the rankings for quality food in Hebden Bridge We look forward to our next visit

It's a lovely little cafe but the staff were so rude and unfriendly xx it's like they had a bad taste in there mouth and it wasn't the food xx I don't think I'm going there again What a SHAME
