Haywood 209 Cafe - Haywood County

This was the perfect pit stop just off the highway for good food and a gas fill up. We enjoyed the patty melt and the club sandwich. The fried okra and onion rings were also delicious.

Atmosphere is good, service is excellent, however, I ordered country ham and was sadly disappointed when it arrived. The ham was paper thin, a credit card is thicker, and about the size of 1 1/2 credit cards. The grits, eggs, and toast were great. I will not be ordering country ham again.

One of the best places I've eaten at in a very long time. The lemon pepper pork chop was juicy and tender. Will definitely be back asap.

Had a full breakfast on the table, had not even got a bill for the food. I went to the bathroom for a minute, came back and the table had been cleared off!!! Food gone! They didn't even offer to adjust the bill!! Terrible management!!

Definitely a hidden gem off I-40! Very cute cafe with good food!
