Good bbq and awesome service! Cj had our food out quick and hot. Cool spot that I’ll definitely be revisiting, good service can be hard to find

It’s a bit hit and miss here. I’ve visited on several occasions and I’ve had some great BBQ and I’ve had some that tasted like it was reheated from the day before. I’ve visited on days where they should have been open but the restaurant was closed without a reason. If you’re lucky and it’s a good day then it’s worth the stop for sure.

Surprised there weren’t many people here, were traveling from Colorado home to Pennsylvania and found this spot in gorgeous old town Hays. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Was a little disappointed that the restaurant was out of ribs and only could offer 4 ribs at 7:30pm despite being open until 10pm but I got to try the beef burnt ends which ended up being great and a large portion size. They had also been out of milk so I was unable to try the root beer float beverage I had wanted, and instead went with a straight liquor cinnamon roll drink. Way too much alcohol for my taste buds but this place was definitely great and if I ever find myself in Hays again, I’ll be back in have some more.

If you find yourself in Hays KS, do not sleep on this hidden gem of a place. We have tried most of the BBQ places in Hays as we travel to see our daughter in Wichita often. Slims is now closed and the Wood Creek on the main drag just wasn't that great. But this spot was fantastic great specials and staff was friendly. I got the brisket Philly, my wife got the pulled pork nachos and my daughter had the pulled pork mac and cheese. All items were great and the do not shy with the portions size, you will not leave hungry that's for sure. We ended up here on a Sunday and were the only ones in the place, so I hope this can help get the word out, Because the is place should be busy. Make sure you don't miss out.
