Bidra med feedbackWe arrived for a nights stay at the chateau and due to chef injury the restaurant and terrace bar were closed. They do no reopen until July 15th. There were no restaurants open so had to buy a salad at the grocery store. We cancelled...our reservation for return trip. It has been closed since March. I think the hotel should have informed guests before arrival.
Highly recommended and worth their money time to protect this restaurant. I love the noble ambiente. the staff is friendly and warm. we were served with mini sandwich, very tasty with beans pistachios on the top. as an appetizer we had an egg soup (if I translate it... correctly from the French name). there is a raw egg yolk in the middle of the bowl, they just have to break it and stir, mix it all. the taste is creamy, super! another starter is deenleber, it is delicious! for the first we had angus steak, it is so juicy and tender, so delicious! the beans, potatoes, mushrooms are all so delicious! another main is fish soup, it is in the ground seafood with few species of fish, garnel, tintenfisch and Skallop..amazingly delicious! for dessert we had chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake..so delicious. another dessert is plate of little cheese (hard, soft, creamy) finally we were served with macaroons.chocolate, vanilla, pistachios, rose.taste great, not sweet and very soft. a real orgasm eating French fine eating we had! nothing bad to emphasize, all were very good!
We stayed here a few times in the past, but the last time we feel very special about the new owner and staff. the chateau is now under the leadership of philippe jégo. I called to make a reservation for the. hotel on the morning, unfortunately I don't speak French, but pascal took my call, he speaks very good English and helped me to make the booking, he also made a reservation for us in the restaurant. at the arrival we were greeted and made by pascal to feel very welcome. we had coffee at the bar before we were shown in our room, philippe imagined and made us feel very welcome. later we returned to the bar, had a conversation with philippe and pascal, which took the time to tell us about the changes in the chateau. the food was excellent, the service was a little slow, we had to wait a little longer than I would every time we ordered drinks, but the restaurant was full, hopefully will improve this, as the new management continues to make changes for the better. the room we chose was very nice and comfortable. my wife and I are very happy to visit our next visit.
