I've visited Pikant in the past when visiting local business colleagues. The experience was OK and the food better than average for the locale. Now under new ownership the restaurant surpasses expectations on multiple levels. The food is excellent and the service exemplary, warm, professional, humorous and attentive. My business partner and I couldn't have asked for more. I'm not sure for how long Pikant will remain a local secret but I suggest you book to make sure you're not disappointed if staying locally. Perfect setting with perfect views too!

It was a Thursday when we were in Forde. It appears that Thursdays is quiz day. The second floor was designated as the quiz session. There were no available spots but I noticed a table was set near the bar facing the river. I asked the waitress if it is ok to eat there. She said it was ok if it was fine with us. We answered we are so hungry, we can sit anywhere. It was worth eating here. Food is really good. Kudos to the people in the kitchen. They know how to make good food. I recommend that you book a table. While we were there, many people have been turned down because they did not have any table available. Maybe it only happens on a Thursday when it seems it is quiz day any restaurants in the city.
