Checkerboard Inn - HAVERTOWN

We had a funeral dinner at Checkerboard Inn. The food was excellent and the service was extremely professional. The price was right. We were all very satisfied and recommend to come after checkerboard.

We held our rehearsal dinner at The Checkerboard, and it was fantastic. Stephanie, who helped with the setup, was wonderful and communicated effectively throughout. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly! The food was delicious, and we even had some leftovers to take home. We will definitely consider hosting another event here in the future, as the prices were very reasonable.

We enjoyed the thin crust pizza and chicken wings, both of which were absolutely delicious, and our order arrived promptly. The waitress was incredibly friendly. We're definitely planning to return!

Just a quick heads up: The outdoor deck bar and kitchen don't open until 4 PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, so you can't get drinks until then. However, both the kitchen and outdoor areas are open from 12 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

We have visited this restaurant multiple times and have typically had pleasant experiences. Unfortunately, this time was different. We made a reservation, and when we arrived, the restaurant was three-quarters full.
