Fancy Buffett - Haverstraw

Placed a catered order for rice/ beans and griot. Everyone including my elderly Haitian parents thought it was delicious! Prices were reasonable and the pick up time was perfect. Staff was very professional. Highly recommended this place.

It's hot outside and the place had it's front door open and the air conditioning was off. The place was very dimly lit and very dingy inside. Also, it was the middle of lunch and the place was absolutely empty besides being oppressively hot. I drove a couple of miles to get there because I was in the mood for Haitian food and their website advertised a $15.00 buffet. Well that was wrong because apparently they had also not updated their website in who knows how long. Everything was supposed to be placed into Styrofoam containers and weighed and the price per ounce not inexpensive. Also only Styrofoam no real plates or cutlery even though there were tables and chairs. Definitely avoid this place.

Been going here since day one when they opened. Haven 't regretted it yet. But......today (9/13/2018) WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LEGUME??? It DOES NOT taste the same?. But still I love this place.No AC...hot AF. Who wants to sit and sweat while eating??? It 's time they update and get some AC instead of fans blowing all the hot air around. He fact that its dimly lit is not my thing either. Sit in the dark and sweat while u eat..lol. gave the service a one because they don 't do anything, u get your food and drink yourself.

Good food but the prices change depending on what kind of meat you get and they don't tell you even though it's a buffet, so watch out. One wing can bring the price up by 10$
