Oki's Japanese - Havelock

We have dined here many times, and it has always been excellent—until last night. Everything we ordered tasted reheated and stale. The sushi was particularly disappointing. The highlight of the meal was the fried rice, which was still good. It's disheartening because this used to be one of my favorite places to order from.

The food was excellent, the service was prompt, and the prices were reasonable. I won't dine anywhere with a health score below 93, and Oki's score is exactly that. It raises a slight concern for me.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant, and not even two minutes into our meal, my husband found a hair in the bite he had just taken. I called the restaurant to report it, and they repeatedly asked me where I had placed the order (which was through their website). Then they suggested I bring the food back for them to remake it. That’s not feasible for us since we ordered takeout to avoid a 20-30 minute drive back to the restaurant. I won’t be returning.

Awesome little place with great food and great prices!

Ordered hibachi, sushi, yaki soba and lumpia. Food was amazingly good, as always!
