Jr's Diner - Havant

Hello, I’m not one to usually write negative reviews but this diner is disgusting. My friend and I made the mistake of visiting as one of the local pubs kitchen was closed that day and were not aware of two amazing cafes down the road in Hayling. Ollie’s Coffee Ruby’s Tearoom. The resturant was dirty and disgusting, muck and dirt everywhere. No prices or menu. Told ‘can cook whatever you want’. Can see that kitchen is dirty from front counter with staff not using correct safety clothing. Ordered two breakfasts and coffees. Coffees came in a dirty mug, with dirty tables cafe resembled that of a child’s canteen looked like a school dinner. Food service was quick and friendly. As this happened I was Googling JR’s Diner to find a menu, and instead found the reviews and most importantly the health rating which isn’t in the window! Pretty sure that’s the law! It was a 1 star. I would give it 0. The food was not nice and put me off so much I only ate my tomato and beans. I felt sick. My friend was so hungry he ate all his, but got diarrhoea and felt unwell the next day. It was £18 and the card machine was broken… giving us a sign. Couldn’t wait to leave. Luckily the saving grace of our day after being shaken up was Ollie’s Coffee down the road a lovely cafe with amazing smoothies, coffee and frappes! Please avoid this diner at all costs and go to Ruby’s for amazing breakfasts lunches smoothies. Or Ollie’s for amazing milkshakes, smoothies, coffee and light bites! Really hope this place can improve and get to 5 stars health rating or else be shut down. Wish I’d seen these reviews and the rating before entering. Thanks.

Worst breakfasts ever and I eat everything usually Cold disgusting dry Uncaring staff Avoid My dog would not eat bacon I should of got a photo but couldn't leave quick enough awful place and their attitude Close it down

Breakfast was cold, one hard egg, one piece of bacon, 2 sausages, a plate of disgusting beans and a piece of toast. I left the whole thing and told the girl who just looked away oh well, owner didn't care so wasted £22+ Young sulky girl didn't acknowledge, I had to ask for everything several times like menu, cutlery. We went and got our own sauces as she was on phone ignoring. Then I asked for napkin and she gave me one piece of unbreakable cotton kitchen roll between 3 of us. I paid for another egg which was rock hard too, they were very unapproachable and uncaring. Took our money though Expensive for an inedible breakfast which I left. No toilets Disgusting

JR's Diner, Terrible Breakfast, cracked cups, warmed bread that was supposed to be toast all thrown on one plate, fortunately we then went on to Warner's which was superb and did know how to make toast.

This diner has great potential but sadly the food wasn't great. There were no menus just one paper copy passed around the diner. The choice of breakfast was good but the sausages were tasteless and the breakfast swimming in tinned tomato juice and water from the bacon. The prices could be upped slightly with the quality of food. The staff were friendly and a couple of changes would make these reviews much improved.
