Bidra med feedbackHave visited and appreciated this mountain top restaurant / bar for at least 10 years, but now have two unpleasant visits in this week, where an angry chef (or is he the owner) screamed at me and other guests, all of whom had only been admitted. after the Swiss Covid app (double vaccinated). Today he refused to serve us even, he said, because my wife wore a sniff (facewear,) but at least the half of the skiers in the restaurant had exactly the same (i.e. no official face masks) and he himself, as they can see, wore a visier, no masks. the eating and the mountain views are good, but I can see from other reviews that our experience is not unique, so recommend that you avoid this place for now, unless they are a friend of it!
We went for a family dinner and my son ordered 4 chicken bugs as shown on the menu. he got a teller with pommes and three nuggets. When he asked after the fourth nugget, the chef went mad, threw the whole plate on the müll. And gave him a new one, where he handpicked the four smallest chickens he could find. to overstand it, he said with a snoring: now they have less than before. unbelievable behavior! avoid this place! and I didn't even talk about the dirty tables and the high prices.
Good food. faster service in comparison to some restaurants on the bergen. they usually eat here once on our trip.
It is very strange that a large ski area like nendaz has this type of pass to the entire 4 vallees. from nendaz there is only a 1 person tow lift to the large cable car and nendaz only a black slope....Not recommended for beginners.
We visited this restaurant, at the summit of Plan du Fou, for an organised evening entitled Sunset Plan du Fou. Tickets are sold via the gondola office adjacent to the free car park at Siviez or online via the Nendaz Tourism website. We did not...really know what to expect as the details provided online are minimal. It is advertised as a 3 course meal: Assiette Valaissiane (cured meats), Raclette and Apricot Sorbet. The gondolas begin to run from 6:30pm and this journey is included in the price. I would advise booking, as this event only runs once a week Saturday and every table was taken on the evening we attended. We were shown to our table and briefly talked through the evening. All of the staff were very hardworking, polite and did their best to help us understand. After ordering drinks, the evening starts with a plate of cured meats this is served individually. As much as possible all tables eat this course at the same time. After a short break during which time most people go onto the balcony to see the beginning of the sunset the Raclette begins. This was food theatre, 4 men each stood behind their Raclette grill, and when they were ready we queued up to be given a portion of bubbling, browning, mouthwatering Swiss cheese. We could then put 'new ' potatoes, silverskin onions, gherkins and bread onto our plate to eat with the cheese. When you are ready for more you rejoin the queue. We enjoyed the queueing as everybody was really friendly and wanted to talk to us about this local tradition. The appetites of the restaurant were fully met before the Raclette was put away. Had we wanted to we could have eaten more, but it is surprising how filling it is. The dessert of apricot sorbet with apricot liqueur is a local speciality also (obviously no alcohol for children) and really delicious. You are treated to a 'shot ' of your choice before you take the gondola back down at 10.30pm. The sunset, during this event, was spectacular. The weather did turn very cold and windy part way through the evening so do take a coat with you just in case, as the gondola down was very cold. This was not a cheap night (cost in CHF just over 200, and only I was drinking wine) but the experience was really worth it and really helped us to understand and enjoy Raclette.
