We went to the castle cellar to get something to eat. The atmosphere in the vaulted cellar is special; you can reach the guest room via stairs and a gap. The ambience is medieval and rustic; the colorful glazed windows and the barrel vault have left a lasting impression. The service is friendly and competent, the food was okay. The restaurant thrives on its location in the medieval vaulted cellar of the Harzgerode Castle; you shouldn't expect much in terms of cuisine here.

Very nice and friendly owners. Nice ambience whether in the beer garden, castle courtyard or in the castle cellar. Very tasty food and very friendly staff. We have celebrated many events there, whether it was our daughter's 1st birthday or our wedding and it was always perfect.
