Iguanas Ranas Taqueria - Hartford

If you want authentic Mexican food, I've yet to find a better place locally than Iguanas Ranas. The food is prepared in a traditional style, the tortillas are fresh, and the drinks are excellent. Add that to the fact that you'd be hard-pressed to find more reasonable prices, and you have an excellent night out. Oh, and the staff is very friendly and accomodating. Two recommendations--Chile Verde Burrito and the taco platter (The Al Pastor is something I've never tasted outside of Mexico and the Southwestern US. Rare for New England, for certain. I've included pictures of both.

Delicious food, very friendly staff and great atmosphere with an amazing live Mariachi performance by the Mariachi Academy of New England's Corazon de Oro. We are definitely going back soon!

Very good!!!. If you like traditional corn shells with a variety of pork, beef and chicken styles then you'll love the food!. Wonderful service as well.. we went it with 10 for a last minute dinner and they got us right in!!

Really authentic Mexican food. I specially love the fish tacos with the purple cabbage slaw. If you are into spicy food, then I highly recommend the suicide burrito. It's so tasty but very spicy too. The Margarita's are awesome and they are made with real freshly squeeze limes. You can't go wrong with this place.
