Bidra med feedbackWe had a great dining experience at The Poacher. The food was delicious and affordable. The atmosphere was lovely and meeting Pierre, who was friendly and knowledgeable, was a highlight. Thank you for taking care of us so well! We can't wait to come back next time we're in the area. Thank you!
While driving through Alton, we stumbled upon the Poachers Inn and decided to stop for lunch. What a beautiful pub restaurant and hotel! The pub looked clean and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and found the staff to be very polite and accommodating. We are planning to return in the evening for dinner. I had a chat with the manager, who was also very polite and helpful, especially regarding the excellent and well-prepared menu. We will definitely recommend the Poacher Inn to our friends, as it was a truly enjoyable place to visit with delicious food.
I was amazed by the fantastic £10 January deal at this restaurant! The meal and drink were both great value. I enjoyed the vegetarian sausages with mash and peas, paired with a Chardonnay, while my husband had the fish and chips. The portions were huge and the food was excellent. We will definitely be returning. The ambiance, music, and decor were lovely, making it a worthwhile visit that brightened up a dreary January day.
Nipped in for a drink while passing through. This is a place we’ve known for years and has recently changed hands. We are very happy that it appears to be in good hands and we wish the new landlord all the very best
We went as a treat for our grandson who was staying with us. We ordered roast beef for two and a children's burger. When our meals arrived we asked could we have some more gravy. Imagine our surprise whe we were billed extra for two small jugs of gravy. We were also told that we couldn't order more roast potatoes as they were expecting other bookings and didn't have enough for us to order any more! What sort of a pub hasn't got enough supplies. Needless to say we will not be back
