Bidra med feedbackWe had a truly delightful meal on Saturday evening, 19th October. After a warm greeting and a cool glass of champagne, we selected the five course tasting menus. As a non meat eater, my version was a perfectly balanced selection of fish, shellfish, vegetables and cheese. The St James cheese with its accompaniments was my ‘star’ dish. The venison was my husband’s ‘star’. However good the food it is so often the service that makes a meal exceptional and John, Gillian and Richard ensured that all staff matched our ‘digestive pace’. Bravo Frances and your great team. Thank you.
Fallen Star Allegedly this place has appallingly disrespectful attitude towards it staff suppliers and neighboring residents. Maybe this has contributed to the Yorke Arms at last loosing its teensy weensy star. Maybe the food has become as dull, boring, sour and unappealing as some believe both the the old overbearing female cook and the vulgar showy owners are. On the other hand, Congrats to the Angel at Hetton. Very very very well deserved.
The dining at this historic coachhouse is to die for. Set in a picturesque village it is an ideal venue for a special dinner or lunch.
The most wonderful 3 days in this beautiful hotel. The staff are so professional , polite and welcoming. Our room was gorgeous and the food is truly incredible, we can’t recommend it enough. We will certainly be returning. Thank you for making our anniversary and stay so special ????
The chef, a lady, has a Michelin Star and it is well deserved! Her food is locally sourced, high quality and imaginatively prepared and presented. Everything from the exterior onwards is just perfect.
