Bidra med feedbackBest Sushi in Westchester. This place is authentic and has it right. The service is somewhat slow as there are only 2 people who work there a server and a cook. I can't take off points because the place is not very big. I don't know where they would fit more employees if they had.
I'm really tempted to give 1 star because it's the best kept secret in town. Small, nothing fancy, but the Sushi...my God! I've been eating Sushi for 30 years and I've had it all over the World and I'm telling you folks, it's the real deal. It's a one man show, so be prepared to wait for your food...but I promise you it's well worth the wait.
Friendly, dedicated and delicious. Saved our night! We had planned to go to another Japanese restaurant just a few steps further but ou reservation had not been honoured. Such a Luck! Momiji staff was attentive and friendly. The food was succulent. I particularly recommend the sukiyaki. I highly recommand this establishment where the Chef gives everything to satisfy his customer. The Japanese guests (6 at another table) seemed to fully apreciate.
Don't expect variety of fancy shmancy rolls. If you are looking for a quality fish, and simple but tasty food at reasonable price in a casual setting this may become your favorite place, like it has for us.
This restaurant offers outstanding quality for the price! It’s the best in Westchester, with excellent sushi. Don’t be misled by the unassuming location of Momiji; Chef Shinji prepares and serves sushi that truly delights the palate. In Manhattan, you would pay nearly three times as much for sushi of this caliber. The cooked dishes and sushi are tasty and fresh, featuring a traditional and simplistic approach, staying true to its roots without adopting any “fusion” or modern twists. Highly recommended!
