Japan outpost in the wildness of ny outskirts. the chef is from osaka and brings them japans kitchen. there is an excellent calm feeling here. the fish is exceptionally fresh and well prepared.

AUTHENTIC Japanese cuisine, fresh fresh fish, top quality service, and miso soup that’s the best in Westchester. This is the real deal, a local mom/pop shop that’s brings me memories of meals in Osaka and Kyoto. I am fortunate enough to have found this place years ago, and even more fortunate it’s still around. If all you care about is decor and quantity, don’t bother coming. If you care about quality and deliciousness, then look no further, this is your final stop for authentic Japanese outside of Manhattan.

Best sushi in Westchester and better than many places in NYC. Anyone looking for extravagant rolls drowning in sauce will be at the wrong place in Hajime; they are wonderful in their simplicity, letting the quality of their fish do the talking. They also have traditional izakaya items.Staff is always helpful and caring and the chefs will always greet you like you are family. Highly recommended.

With the huge amount of fish in the showcase, and only 3 actual diners in the restaurant, they only gave me 6 slivers of fish over a bowl of rice and had the nerve to charge $28. Not worth it! Go to the other place next door. Good quality and bigger portions.

My favorite thing to get here is the chirashi, an assortment of sashimi over seasoned sushi rice. Their wasabi is impeccably fresh. Be sure to ask for green tea. This place is the real deal.
