Bidra med feedbackI wish there was a zero star rating because the food was the worst that I 've ever experienced. Ordered take out on Thursday, pizza, subs and a few sides for dinner. I packed a slice of pizza, part of the meatball sub and some fries for dinner because I had to go to work. Before I even had a chance to eat what I packed, I received a few texts from my family describing how bad the food was. I tried it and I 'm sorry that I did! The pizza was terribly over spiced and the sauce tasted like something between sweet and sour sauce and ketchup. The 9 inch pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni that I ordered had zero pepperoni on it! The subs were in a word...inedible...the meatball sub needs to be renamed to the over spiced hockey puck sub...disgusting is another word that comes to mind. The cheesesteak sub also needs to be renamed to the missing meat and nonexistent cheese with fat sub. On to the loaded fries...over cooked fries and cheese...again inedible, even with ketchup and the horseradish sauce. Enough said!
Disappointing The Cru I did eat there... won't make that mistake again. Most concerning is NO ONE is certified in food how do you know if you cooling, freezing, thawing, saving food correctly. You can really get someone sick by incorrect procedures.
Imagine my surprise tonight when I walked in and it was a completely different pizza place! WTF?? Where did The Cru go?? All I wanted was a chopped salad!!!!!!!
Pretty awful. Ordered through GrubHub the ONLY positive was the kind delivery man and his prompt arrival. I had ordered garlic parmesan wings and paid extra for bleu cheese on the side. The wings were like nothing I had ever tasted, and NOT in a good way. They did not taste anything at all like garlic or parmesan, and the bleu cheese was nonexistent (did I mention I paid extra for it)? I also ordered a small personal-size white cheese pizza that was basically just dough with a ton of strange spices on top, including tons of parsley/oregano. It was disappointing, and I had to dust off all of the overpowering spices in order to get through the dough. Ordering these two items through GrubHub cost me a total of around $32 (and this was with their FREE delivery....now I know why theirs was the only business offering FREE delivery) so I dealt with it, because that was a LOT of money for me to just throw out to the animals. Will NEVER order from here again, nor will I recommend to anyone.
Newly opened December 2017 in the former Sisco/Zorba site on North Sixth Street. Ordered the Sweet Corn, Crab and Potato Soup; $4.50 Great! No shortage of crab in a nice, thick cream soup base, a wee bit too salty for my taste but that is usually just me. Others will find it just right. Paired up with the Lobster Roll; $10.75 and I had a lunch that carried me well into dinner-time with no looking for a quick fill to carry me over. Lobster Roll was truly amazing. Brimming with REAL Lobster meat on a traditional New England style roll. Haven 't had it this good since Bar Harbor or at a better price! Nice selection of sandwiches, under the heading hot cold Deli Board . Numerious salads, several interesting and refreshingly new appetizer offerings along with the Pizza, Stromboli offerings. Will certainly be back to explore the interesting offerings. So nice to have a new and refreshingly creative eatery so close by.
