Bidra med feedbackWe are grateful for our server Madison who helped improve our disappointing meals. She was very kind and attentive. We would not recommend ordering the ravioli as it was not good, the salmon was overcooked, the eggplant tower was bland and Cold, and the tomatoes were hard and thickly sliced. The bread was the highlight of the meal. The salads and shrimp dish were also enjoyable. We are undecided about returning to this restaurant.
The service at this restaurant was subpar. Despite there being five of us, only one appetizer was brought out at a time. When we inquired about the missing appetizer, it was finally brought out. We also experienced long delays between the appetizers and the main course. We had to remind the staff multiple times not to clear the plates until everyone had finished eating. Although I have dined at this restaurant before and enjoyed the food, on this particular night, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations.
If you're craving pasta for dinner, Augie's is the place to go! The ambiance was both cozy and stylish. The large blue chairs were incredibly comfortable and perfect for relaxing while waiting for our meal. The menu offered a variety of pasta dishes, and we decided on the Tuscan pasta and short rib ravioli. Both dishes arrived piping hot and were absolutely delicious. We also ordered a Caesar salad, which was tasty but a bit overpriced at $14. This seems to be a common trend lately, with small portions at high prices. Despite this minor disappointment, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Augie's. It truly is a hidden gem in the neighborhood!
The food was very good but they were short staffed and the service wasn't great Espresso was cold, the table had crumbs and plates that supposed to be cleaned by the waiter had to ask for
Overall it was a reasonably fine experience. The service was reasonable and the food was served hot and definitely tasty. We were last there when the restaurant was called Raw. The restaurant did not have truffle oil for the truffle mac cheese and they also did not have sorbet available on the dessert menu. At the table next to us was a family of four, parents and two little girls. When one of the girl 's food arrived, the waitress noticed that her pasta came out with tomato sauce instead of butter, the way it was ordered. The waitress offered to correct the kitchen error, and the little girl/parents said it was ok. These are little things that have subtle implications for the restaurant being just short of getting an excellent rating. There seemed to be only one waitress. When we arrived shortly before our 6 pm reservation the restaurant had only one other table occupied. Therefore, the restaurant was pretty quiet. However, it obviously got louder as it filled close to capacity around 7 p.m. I understand that a restaurant can/will run out of items that are on the menu, however, our reservation was for 6 p.m.
