Bidra med feedbackSuch a lovely place. Amazing food, great atmosphere and fantastic service. Special thanks to the kind man who greeted us at the door our lovely French-speaking Irish waitress. We'll definitely come back.
I’ve been a part-time resident of Harpswell for nearly 50 years and so happy that at last there’s a wonderful restaurant that isn’t all about lobster and chowder. The schoolhouse itself makes for a lovely place to dine, and the service and food were first-rate. We especially enjoyed the home-baked bread and calamari and shared the salmon entree that was prepared to perfection.
Our go to restaurant in Harpswell. Always good food and service. We especially like the waitress from St. Martin.
Went here with 6 other friends and family for my sister’s birthday. Called the day before to reconfirm reservation and ask for a piece of cake with a candle on it at the end of dinner so we could sing “Happy Birthday.” When we arrived, I reconfirmed this request and let them know we had theater tickets so needed to stay on schedule. Service was VERY slow despite several reminders that we were running late for our show, (and we did end up being late for it) The food was over spiced to the point some of it was inedible and one member of our party had to send it back. The appetizers we ordered for the table eggplant fries and calamari were unrecognizable and terrible. The piece of birthday cake never materialized and so we didn’t sing Happy Birthday after all. All in all, a very disappointing experience. We came here last year for the same birthday dinner/theater combination and it was wonderful so I don’t know what happened. We probably won’t try this place again although it used to be a favorite.
Highly recommend! Great food in a lovely atmosphere with stellar customer service! Be sure to strike up a conversation with Bruce, the host. You won't be disappointed!
