Taqueria El Zarape - Harlingen

I'm happy to eat here. the bores are always on the point and the tacos are well served. delicious!

Prices are great, portions are great too. Quality is a little low. Customer service is 50/50. One day it's great on others not so great. Place is pretty great. 8/10. Restrooms do need a little lift.

Staff need better leadership that will instill the value and importance of good customer service. Was the service bad, no but it's not what it should be. The food was ok, lukewarm temperature. Slapped together and shoved out to the table. With the menu selection of meats and better management, this establishment has the potential to be a 5 stars. That's if you like Mexican food, if not you went to the wrong place.

Charro beans are always mostly water. They need to use a spoon with holes… as we walked up to order we said hello to cashier and she didn’t respond then turned and tells another employee she was punching out and never said a word to us. Next employee was very polite, we then received beans at the same time as our food which had never happened before. We also asked for fresh salsa (due to the fact that the ones on table seemed like it was time to take them away), So we were brought salsa in the small plastic cups thinking it was fresh. Just before we were leaving they actually started picking up all the salsa bottles from tables, we were thinking they’re going to put fresh now that we are about to leave. As we passed by on the sales counter were all the bottles of salsa and small plastic containers being filled with the old salsa. Yep we were given old salsa in plastic containers from yesterday… smh…

A taco place and had to ask for salt. Napkins never came so I cleaned my hands with my receipt. The cashier with the green shirt looked rushed and I was the only customer. Was going to order a meal to take home for my wife but nah, I'll go somewhere else. What happened to the previous manager. Get her back.
