Went here with friends for a meal mid week , it’s a quirky village pub with lots of features, great selection of beers and great staff , the food was excellent and great value

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was great, and there was an open fire in the bar. The food was absolutely delicious, I couldn't find any faults. The Sunday lunch was the best I've had, perfectly cooked without any unnecessary extravagance. The Yorkshire puddings were huge, the meat was tender, and there was a good selection of vegetables. I highly recommend visiting this place!

I came to this restaurant for lunch on a Friday. Despite its small size, it exceeded my expectations. I ordered the 8oz Sirloin steak with Stilton sauce, while my partner had the Chicken Mississippi with Southern Comfort and mushroom sauce. The dishes were flawless, even with temporary managers in place while the owners were on vacation. For dessert, we had the Sticky toffee pudding, which was incredibly light and fluffy, not overly sweet. I would rate this experience a perfect 10 out of 10.

Visited this traditional characterful village pub with excellent Sunday lunch after a country walk with our dog. Warm and friendly landlady who helped us out with a lead for our dog when we realised we'd left ours at home. Would definitely return.

Went couple years ago and such wonderful, shame now only does pizza although very nice, would be great again if done pub food not just pizza
