Bidra med feedbackTravelling down the M1 rather than stopping at the services we pulled off to Lutterworth (about a mile). Lovely little market town, ample parking and a passerby recommended Karter’s Coffee Shop. Was everything you wanted a local, independent coffee shop to be. Friendly staff, great coffee, yummy elevenses.
As others have said so much better than stopping at services if travelling up (or down) the M1. Great sandwich, dog friendly gluten free options. Friendly service too. Parking nearby.
Heading along the motorway, we always like to use local independent places rather than motorway services, so dropped in here as we had used it before and only 5 mins from the M1. Walked in and found a table, it still had the bustling atmosphere to say it was a Monday. We all chose and placed the order with a lovely lady at the till, specifically asking for a pot of decaf tea and a pot of ‘full fat’ tea. The waitress who arrived with our drinks brought a tea bag in each cup and one tea point of hot water, when we explained we wanted pots of tea, she just rolled her eyes and shook her head before storming off to get another tea pot. When she came back, she seemed to have sorted the attitude out. This was a real shame as the food was excellent as was the initial welcome.
This restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes at affordable prices. The service is quick and friendly, and it is clear that the local patrons are regulars at this establishment.
This restaurant is a great place with a wide selection of delicious food. The breakfast options were particularly impressive. However, it was difficult for my 85-year-old in-law, who uses a walking frame, to step into the restaurant. The staff were decent and the food was tasty.
