Nobody eats just two bags so they sell out fast, Lol 6 bucks a bag, if you think that 's pricey try Big Save They usually watch the game, and drink beer on Friday night, so when the chips are gone and the games over, they stay closed Also their not service oriented, but if you want attention, bring a pretty girl, Stanley is an 80+ year old flirt! Try the purple Okinawan Sweet Potato, tasty!
Delicious chips! Better than what is prepackaged at the regular grocery stores. Comes in taro, sweet potato or potato. Regular or li hing mui flavored. I loved the sweet potato li hing mui and taro; will try them all! The sweet old man who works there has lived on Kauai all his life. He said they are open on Thanksgiving as well. Will return often! Like an old Chinese restaurant where you question how they passed their health inspection, but that's probably what makes the food so good. Lmao. Hours are totally random and when they are open, the door still has a closed sign on it. We tried the taro chips as lots have raved about and found they are a greasier version of Hawaiian Chip Company's taro chips sprinkled with garlic salt. Chips were ono but for $7/ bag a little steep. As others mentioned, the people running the place are not the friendliest but we didn't go there to make friends.
These are the best chips around. No others compare. I've been buying these for years and will continue to do so.
The taro chips are fantastic. Love the fresh texture and love the small business theme...when you sell out, you're pau for the day!
