Mediterranean Gourmet - HANALEI

Whoever wrote that this is the best restaurant in Hanalei must not be a foodie....The ambience is sterile, the windows are so cloudy you can't see outside even if you have a window seat and the food is bland and overly pricey....highly over rated and a major, major disapointment.

We have eaten at this restaurant multiple times in the past. However, this visit was disappointing. Several of the items we tried to order were unavailable, and the food we did receive was bland and below expectations. We were left wondering if they had a substitute chef, especially considering it was Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, we do not plan on returning in the near future.

I loved the view of the waves from the windows overlooking the ocean. The food had a delicious Mediterranean influence, which was no surprise given the location. The service was top-notch. This restaurant is a great discovery in the secluded Hanalei area.

I had heard great things about this restaurant and was eager to try it out. However, I found the food to be overpriced and just average. The onion soup was particularly disappointing, as it lacked any flavor. The grilled fish was tasty, but the rice and bok choy were bland. Although the restaurant had a nice view, the dirty windows made it difficult to enjoy. Overall, I was not impressed and would not dine here again.

A bit of drive with more traffic than expected so remotely. Several one lane bridges with some drivers not following protocol.
