Funky Monkey - Hampi

We have tried 2-3 North Indian dishes and special Banana leave curry of Hampi, food was very delicious and restaurant staff is very cooperative. kitchen is very neat n clean and I met the chef, he is really an interesting guy. Another thing, location and open sitting area close to nature is awesome.

Went here with family. Lovely setting with some nature landscaping inside and a green mountainside rocky backdrop behind the property. Some coconut trees in the plot with paintings of birds around the bases. Really good vegetarian food here. Tried different items on the menu. Friendly bunch of guys, non-interfering and understanding enough to happily customise to our taste preferences. We were all very hungry after spending a few hours walking inside the nearby Vijaya Vitthala Temple Complex ruins, and the food was finished within minutes of reaching our table. We will definitely be going back there if we visit the area again.

This guest house has a roof top and a restaurant. Chill vibe, great food and service, everyone is super friendly and the ambience there allows you to meet other guests and sit/play cards together. clean rooms. No hot water but i didn't feel that i need to. It's so hot outside so it's actually refreshing. I would definitely come back here and recommend this place to anyone. When u there say hi to Satla :

Good rooftop place to hang out. The food is decent, and the breakfast is good. Love the vibe here, by the river bank, with a view of both the temple and the Tungabhadra. Basic hostel like accommodation with single/double rooms and shared bath. Service gets a 5. Super friendly, helpful staff. Love their relaxed nature and dedication.

We loved staying at this guest house at the Funky Monkey restaurant. Ravi, Sandeep, Mr Paul and all the staff were so welcoming and chilled greeting us with big smiles and helping us arrange everything we needed. The rooms are pretty basic, and could be cleaner, but it's all about location and staff 5* for those guys! You'll be woken up by the amazing chanting coming from the main temple, get lovely food and juices, and really made to feel at home.
