They were from Coca-Cola diet coke. How did that happen?

Excellent service and food as usual. The 6 oz filet with seared foi gras was amazing and the Mahi Mahi was excellent.

Food was delicious. If it’s cold outside, dress warm. The temp was 60 degrees where we were seated inside. Otherwise, good dining experience.

Christmas Eve Eve dinner. Reservations made and we were seated quickly. The City of Hammond had major power outtages and many people did not get out that evening. Also, it was sub freezing temps. The restaurant has lots of single pane winfows and was very cold despite fireplaces. After 30 minutes we asked our waiter if we could move to a table in front of the fireplace and they accommodated us. MUCH BETTER not shivering while you eat. The waitstaff were very efficient despite being short staffed. Our appetizers were delicious, (the steak tips and the fried oysters) My filet was cooked nicely and the fish of the day was an interesting play on maux chaux. but with peas, beans, tomatoes and pesto. Mother Nature didn't deter us and the staff ensured that we had a lovely (and warm) family dinner at Jac Mel's.

Jacmel is one of the finest dining I’ve found in Hammond area. It’s eating at home away from home. Loved the hospitality of all workers.
