Wimpy's Diner (Main Street) - Hamilton

Even though I no longer work at Wimpy's, I still have a love for the restaurant and disagree with anyone who says the food is not fresh. Yes, some items are frozen, but it is a diner after all! Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to reconsider their opinion!

If someone get fired from the work place absolutly she will complain.I go to wimpys on main at least five times a week, they are the best place in the city. They had some really rude servers who are not there anymore it makes the place evenbetter.

This is our favorite restaurant. We visit there at least once a week. The manager, Tiana, starts to get concerned if we don't show up for at least a month. We always order the Twist combo.

This is our go-to for late night food cravings. Very reasonable and decent food as long as you stick with diner type foods. The best onion rings in this town, excellent milkshakes and burgers. Their dipping roast beef sandwich is very tasty and comes piled high with thinly sliced beef and a soup bowl of jus. The only time I have ever been disappointed was when I ordered the carrot-ginger soup. It was lumpy with undercooked carrots and incredibly over spiced with fresh ginger. On the same visit I decided to have their homemade macaroni and cheese. A huge peace of greasy, tasteless piece of macaroni, baked and covered in cheese instead of cheese sauce. Very unappealling and I didn't want either the soup, or the pasta. The waitress politely inquired why I had not eaten and apologized profusely when I explained. I was offered dessert on the house which I declined, and was not charged for my meal. Very professional, and we have been back many times since.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! We visited shortly after it opened in December 2011 and were not impressed, but wow! They have really improved since then. The food is fresh, the staff is very friendly, the portions are huge, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The prices are similar to other restaurants, but the value for your money is exceptional. This has quickly become our favorite spot, and it's the only place where you can get a great meal any time of day!
