Wendel Clark's Grill - Hamilton

Stopped at Wendel Clarks Classic Grill because it had an inviting outdoor patio area and it was a pleasant afternoon. The front door locked (door malfunction) as we were trying to enter, but the manager came to let us in. He explained that they just opened in June of this year and welcomed us to come in and enjoy their dining experience. We asked to be seated on the patio and enjoyed the fried pickles and chicken wings along with a cold beer. The food and drink were tasty and we had a pleasant experience we came back the following night for dinner. For dinner we had the Haddock/chips and Baby back ribs/fries. Both meals were prepared to our satisfaction and we left stuffed. This is a new restaurant that is still getting off the ground and I recommend the locals and the travelers should get behind this new eatery. You won’t be disappointed.

Not very good these days as it is closed. They say it is re-opening in June but who knows for sure? Perhaps you could look to their location in Burlington before you drive downtown and pay for parking.

Having only been open a few weeks, I'm sure the fact that it was still so busy was a result of that when I visited. I was excited to go as my friend has gone a few times and had nothing but positive things to say. I can say I don't. While the facility itself is beautiful, and in the perfect spot for a nice patio in the summer, the service was not great. I'll admit, some of that may have been because it was so loud in the place that the waitress could hardly hear us. We just ordered a couple beers and an app each. I had the slider trio and they were good. The problem for me was that we ordered the large sized beers and were brought regular sized beers. That wasn't the end of the world but what really got me going was the fact that I took 20 mins to get those beers.I will probably try again, but it was not the best experience.

We went to Wendel Clark's for my husband's birthday dinner. The deep fried pickles, steak, salad, and club sandwich were all wonderful! Our server was attentive and super nice. He surprised our son witha signed Wendel Clark hockey puck. It was just a nice comfortablenight out, and we'd go again!

I met a friend here one evening. We were seated and ordered our drinks and then as we waited for the menus to be brought over we were told that it wasn't a full kitchen that evening and we could order nachos or salad. Please understand that this was a Friday night too. Neither of us were in the mood for nachos or salad so we finished our beverages and asked for the bill. The bill was large ordeal as we were told you couldn't split the bill on orders under $50. Anyway, save your time and money - go to another restaurant in the area.
