Mariso - Hamburg

We came here for a business lunch as soon as the restaurant opened. We were very well looked after and the food was lovely. Very fresh and well prepared. The lunch menu also gives good value, but you can go a la carte at lunch as well. The service was pleasant and unobtrusive perfect. A good meal all round.

A very dis functional eleven of us unable to deside what to order. Last minute eleventh accomadated with aplomb all in very busy restaurant. Like most of the antique farm buildings. In this neck of the woods, this had been a home at one end and a barn and stable at the other of the long timber frame house. We were in the human living space end heavily restored and floor made up to the top of the bricks at bottom of the down beams. A clean well organised with character space. If the was plenty of parking we didn't find it. Compared to the website we were on a restricted menu I assume because of Xmas and wine list you would have thought this would have made our decision making simpler. Eventually I was able to order the tomatoe soup, veal steak in Gorgonzola source mushrooms and mash finished with tiramaso with a glass of red not the Chianti. The soup was hot tasty and plentiful just right for a minus two wind chill. The veal melted in the mouth thank Gott im himmel the PC fettishists do not hold sway in Honerburg! I consider it a prime test of an Italian resterant be it Lucca in Machae or Calucio's in Leicester a good Tiramso is to be cherished. A balance of the express so and the brandy made a great desert. What we had was magnificent. I would have love to have ordered the traditional pea and ham compote and some warm pat and Toni and ice cream and a couple of bottles of Ferrari to start. It was compared to the excessively high prices in the UK very good value but pricy by local standards

We had a Pizza Margarita and some noodles Linguines al Mariso and a dessert Tiramisu. The food was good and tasty. The service was normal. Furniture was kind of nice and on a higher level same as the prices of the dishes. Because of the prices food value I was disappointed. Late in the evening it might be a problem to pay with cards, cause the online connection to the bank is cut by the staff.

Very nice evening in Mariso, a beautiful place with a special atmosphere. Not overload, very good to enjoy good food with friends. Very hard waiters, but not intrusive. Good serving, really delicious. Appropriate prices.

My two friends and I ate and drank. It's a super ambience. They feel light as in Italy as the staff speak Italian and are very friendly. The pasta was great and also the cognac. We're coming back
