The Black Bull - Hambleton

I absolutely love this place! Cheryl is an amazing hostess...and Zeus the dog is lovely. Went 3 nights in a row. Felt like a regular. Would love to here from Becky the 38 year old mom, regret not exchanging Facebook details. This place is super dog friendly and bar drinks are below average. Can not wait to return.

The Black bull is a fantastic little pub with the locals very friendly, big shout out too Cheryl the manager, made to feel very welcome.

Oh my god!! We had been for a meal and thought we would get a drink afterwards. Didn't want to go in the Weather spoons because I thought it would be a bit common so tried The Black Bull instead. Now I'm no snob and have worked on building sites for 40years but this place is the pits. The decor is very nice but the clientele and staff are from a Hogarth depiction of gin lane

Another great pub to visit. Pleasant enough plenty of draft beers to choose from. Pleasant staff and friendly locals.

My partner Carolyn liked the look of the Black Bull so we popped in for a pint or 3 or 4 as it turned out. Vicky was behind the bar and made sure we(and the locals) followed the covid restrictions in place, friendly and firmly just as it should be. We had a great time, a couple of the locals, Lesley and Dave could not have been friendlier, we shared some great conversations, happy and some not so happy, but all good craic. When we return to Thirsk, we will pop back in and put our money over the counter here, where we are appreciated and treat like a local. Great pub, thanks for having us it made our break. Andy Carolyn
