Halls Gap Fish And Chips

Myself and my partner were in halls gap for the Melbourne cup long weekend. After reading the reviews on Google we were hesitant but decided to try it anyway. Our concerns were put to rest after we opened the box and tasted the golden goodness. Chips were great, fish was decent, potato cakes though small we were given extra which made up. Decent feed. Don't think it deserves a 1 star. If you agree with us we hope you can give this local business a good review.

I ordered fish and chips for one, and a potato cake. I only had to wait about 5 minutes so it was very quick indeed. The lady who served me was friendly. She also put in tartare sauce and lemon so that was very thoughtful. I would've liked a few more chips (but possibly that's just me being greedy . The fish was delicious and the potato cake was pretty good, though sort of tasted like it had just been heated up in a microwave or something. Anyway, overall it was a positive experience and if I visit Halls Gap again, I'll probably consider going back here! : Thank you Update: Came here again and we ordered flake, chips, potato cakes and a deep-fried hotdog. We don 't have another option for eating because we don 't want to stop by during our travel. So we have to go this store where only one in halls cap. We didn 't get our hopes up, but fish and chips was really good. It was the best fish and chips in my life. But chips was too thick. We prefer thin and crunchy , but this one is only our taste, so It cannot be a problem : I didn 't give 5 stars because we ordered burger, too, but burger was not good, but it is okay. Your store main food is 'FISH AND CHIPS '. Thanks for making happy travel!
