Flashback Diner - Hallandale Beach

We went with the family, 6 of us, for Thanksgiving lunch around 1pm. We waited only about 10 minutes which was pretty good they didn’t accept reservations. Even though the waitress was nice and service was fine, our meal took a long time. We were seated and paid 1 hour 45 minutes in total. Since we were family it was fine to spend the extra time together but that was too long from beginning to end. For $18.99 a person we got turkey it was ok liked the stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, veggie of your choice yams, broccoli or corn on the cob, soup or salad, beverage and dessert. We even got several loafs of egg bread (yummy). Some of the booths had TVs in them instead of the old fashion jukebox.

My husband were surprised to find a bug in our soup. The place was just re-done, and as they say Don 't judge a book by it 's cover This place is a horrible place!!! The manager was a nasty mean lady who said we have to pay for our meal even though we showed her the roach in our soup, and even though we didn 't want the rest of our meal. We just wanted out of this place! We also saw in the past Rodents playing on their dumpster with the back door open! Stay Away! Nasty, Dirty, Horrible Dinner with flair! Don 't eat here! Disgusting!!!!

I love this place. I moved to Hallandale in March of 07 and work until very late at night, when I am coming home at 3AM, there is no better place for me to get a meal. I usually avoid 24 hour places like Denny’s and IHOP but this place is a real class act. Food is great, service is good, and for the money you cannot beat it. There menu is also very inventive.

Usually, diners are pretty good; however this one is just fair. The food was so-so, but the service was very good. It was a convenient stop for a quick bite, to where we were going.

We've been there several times, only for breakfast before going to Gulfstream. One time we saw a few bugs. Other times we didn't see bugs but it could be cleaner. The wait staff was very nice. Breakfast was served hot and exactly what we ordered.
