Baton Rouge - Halifax

So we decided to try this place after several years of saying we were going to try it. My first impression when we looked at the menu was kind of pricey. That didn't last long when we seen the server coming with the plates, 17 for a chicken finger platter which I thought was kind of high and 16 for a chicken sandwich platter, now I must say my opinion quickly changed. We could have split either meal and still left full. My wife said it was the best chicken sandwich she had ever eaten. The chicken fingers were fantastic as they make them in store and they do an excellent job. We are already talking about going back soon. One thing I will say is we arrived around 6 and the restaurant was booked until eight, we lucked out and managed to arrive just as two people were leaving the outside patio. They seat as available outside. So you may want to book just to save yourself from disappointment. I wish I hade taken photos of the plates but it looked so good we dive right in. Five stars for sure. Enjoy you will not be disappointed.

We visited Halifax this weekend and the food here was for sure the best food I have ever eaten at a restaurant. I had the baton rouge burger with sweet potato fries, it was to die for! Very well cooked and prepped. Not only was the food amazing, the service was as well. Would like to thank our waiter Erin for being so polite and welcoming. What a great experience, would highly recommend!

Fantastic atmosphere, our server, Cora was amazing, so accommodating,knowledgeable and when she didn't know she went and found the answer... The ribs we all ordered were the best we ever tasted and the lobster stuffed mushrooms are a must order ! Definitely a must go to restaurant in Halifax, NS..... Thanks to everyone who made this a great night.

We went there last evening for our Anniversary. Food was amazing and our server Aaron was wonderful. We ate way too much! We have tried Amano, IL Mercato, Five Fisherman, and Moxie's in the past for our Anniversary dinner, and we both felt our best meal was last night at Baton Rouge. We will be back! Our new favorite place to eat!!

Visited here today... great atmosphere, great food, great service. Jason, Jess, and Aaron are spectacular! Jess makes a mean sangria (made with love). Jason suggested the best food to eat and it was incredible (great presentation). Aaron gave us the best table in the house. 10/10
