Shannon's Pub & Grille - Halethorpe

This place shocked the heck out of me! I was a little skeptical at first because I had never been to a pub located in the middle of a neighborhood (what it felt like when driving to it) but I’m so glad I took the chance! The bar wasn’t that big, but had a nice vibe and was playing early 2000’s music..it wasn’t very many people that looked like me and my guest inside but we still felt comfortable. The food came out in good portions, hot, and fresh! The drinks were even good as well. I would definitely come back again next time we’re in town!

I did not expect such great food here! I went to meet some friends from an online group here. I live about 20 minutes away and did not know about it. Parking was easy and there was plenty of room to get a table or sit at the bar. I sat at the bar, ordered a Guinness and waited for the others. While I waited, I ordered my meal. The regular menu has many of the typical favorites such as burgers, wings and desserts. The specials menu expanded on that with fish and chips, smoked pork chops and a variety of other options. I ordered the smoked chops on the recommendation of the waitress. As you can see from my picture, it is a lot of food and served more like a high end restaurant. It also comes with a salad. Pub food usually means plastic baskets and such to me. The taste was amazing! The sauce was light and allowed the smoked pork flavor to come through. Veggies were cooked well and retained their crunch. The generous helping of mashed potatoes did not need anything as it was seasoned perfectly. Service was snappy even when the group grew to 15 of us. We were seated in the basement dining area which allowed us a quieter space to talk. Looking forward to our next meeting here!

The mussels and spring special was soooo good, I would definitely recommend.

I walked in with a group of about 8-10 on Sunday night, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Our server informed us of the fact that the kitchen was closing soon and checked on us a few times before it did to make sure we had ordered everything we needed. The bartender did a great job keeping our drinks coming, as well. Pizza was fantastic! I can see why these guys have such a high rating! Hoping to come back sometime soon.

Was stuck an extra day at BWI so decided to hit this spot on a stormy night. Pretty good drinks and wings as well. Nice staff. Katerina was cool.
