Building is a well preserved ancient building, toilets upstairs from a winding wooden staircase not to be attempted unless you are active and able children will need supervision. Spotless well equipped, clean bathroom. Pleasant small outside front tables and large outside area at back. Very pleasant servers. Food: 3

After a couple of jobs in Halesworth this morning I found Ancient House and I’m very glad I did. They served me a spectacular beef brisket sandwich and gorgeous tempura prawns. Ancient House has a beautiful setting with original features and pokey rooms. The service was super friendly and happy which is always refreshing attribute. The menu was mouth-wateringly simple. I was told the Katsu curry bowl is a favourite so I will have to return. Thank you
