Tiffins Club - Hackney

Not sure what these other reviews are about their food is AMAZING! Possibly the best curry I’ve ever had in London, and if you factor in price, by far the best! Paneer, and the Sag, and Jalfrezi were epic. Even the sauces were quality, which isn’t usual. Would highly recommend.

I ordered food through Deliveroo from Tiffin’s Club last night in good faith, and was notified it would arrive in 20-30 minutes, as it was a local restaurant. And during the lockdown I have been trying to support local businesses where possible. After one hour of waiting I called the restaurant to ask why it hadn’t been delivered. I was surprised with the tone of voice with which the manager dealt with my query. He intimated that I was being really stupid ordering from Deliveroo and that I should have called the restaurant directly. I asked why they would use such a service if they didn’t believe in the third part deliverers. He responded by saying it wasn’t his problem. I was told that they couldn’t do anything about it and that I would need to speak to Deliveroo directly. Which I did three times only to be told that they would deal with the issue in a few days. Needless to say, we did not get the food delivered even though my credit card had been charged. Which lead us to have to re-order from another local restaurant 1-½ hours after we had originally planned to eat. This restaurants behaviour was completely unacceptable, at no time did he apologies or try to resolve the issue in anyway. I will never order from this company again, as they don’t deserve my patronage. There are plenty of restaurants in the area where I live that would have been glad of the business.

The best Indian delivery place I’ve tried in East London. And I’ve tried a lot. The tikka jalfrezi is amazing.

Terrible experience at this restaurant. I paid extra for the special 'balti' version of the curries, but they tasted like bland soup with little flavor or spice. I can't imagine how bad the cheaper version must be. I would give this zero stars if I could. Additionally, I ordered a peshwari naan but received a plain one instead, which may have been a blessing considering how tasteless the meals were. I doubt the authenticity of the positive reviews from other customers.

I ordered from Deliveroo and I have ordered takeout many times before, but this is the first time I have felt the need to leave a review. It was hands down the worst curry I have ever had. The curries were a bright day-glow red and mostly tasted like sugar. There were no vegetables in the curry at all. The naans were tasteless and undercooked, with burnt outsides. I have uploaded a picture because it has to be seen to be believed. We tried to eat it, but ended up feeling sick and had to throw it away.
