Martino's Grocery - Hackensack

When you’re here, you’re family!! Throughout the years, I’ve been fortunate to eat at many amazing restaurants with 4 star kitchens and run by celebrity chefs. But I have to say that Martino’s Market on Lodi Street in Hackensack, NJ is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever had the privilege of dining at. There is no demi glaces or deconstructed dishes or foams. It is just Italian comfort food like I grew up eating. And it’s served with love in an atmosphere that reminds me a lot like Nonna’s house. The Martino family is a beautiful family, who are very warm and welcoming. I’m serious, if you’ve never been here, you are missing out big time. Places like these are slowly becoming extinct; which is why it is so important to visit them regularly while you still have the chance. So make it a point if you’re anywhere near Bergen County, NJ, to stop for lunch at Martino’s Market on Lodi Street in Hackensack. You will not be disappointed!

Martino's reminds me of my childhood growing up in Howard Beach as an Italian American and loving every minute of the many Italian Specialty Foods My Family made. The Martino's are a Special Family and I love the traditions and simple things they offer that Taste So Very, Very Good

It's like having my grandmother alive again: Doesn't get much better for simple, home made Italian food. Lovely folks (Sicilians!!! You GOTTA check it out! <3
