Bidra med feedbackThe fish was expertly cooked and appeared to be very fresh. However, the batter was a little soggy and had a strangely yellow color. The chips were good and the homemade tartar sauce was delightful.
My group went to the restaurant on a busy Sunday evening. While the fish was good, I did not enjoy the thick and greasy batter. I would have preferred a lighter coating, but I am not sure if this is something that can be requested. The portion sizes were generous and overall it was a good meal.
I waited in a long line on a Saturday night, but it was worth it. The fish and chips were amazing and didn't feel heavy afterwards. The haddock was flavorful and not soggy like in some other places, and the portions of chips were good. My only criticism is that one staff member could use some training in customer service. There was no sign indicating where to collect food at the small counter, and I was scolded for resting my elbow on it. Don't be discouraged by the lady with short brown hair. This chippy is clearly popular among locals and tourists alike.
The best chip shop we have ever tasted. Fresh chips, not greasy at all and a very friendly service. Fish cooked to perfection and prices reasonable.
Very fresh fish and chips, all served with a smile We had the cod and scampi, both delicious. The homemade tartar sauce was also wonderful. You can collect it and walk down to eat on Abersoch beach before it gets cold too! Would definitely recommend
