The Withies Inn - Guildford

We had a very relaxing lunch, sitting outside under the pergola, and were there for over three hours. We were able to have a good conversation whilst enjoying some delicious food. The only disappointment was with the spinach which was dried out and looking tired. Otherwise, the food was ok although the steaks were expensive considering their size. The overall ambience makes The Withies a special place to eat.

I love this place for its quirky style, but it’s been a while since I last visited. Everything was still excellent, the food is terrific and the service superb. I would only say that the menu used to be a bit more interesting (some game options for example), so with the high cost of these meals it makes it less appealing. Other than that it was lovely and I’d recommend anyone to go and eat there.

Lovely place with impressive waiting staff. Food was of good quality and served in a timely manner. Slightly on the expensive side (though given the age of the building, it needs to be able to have a suitable business plan).
