Bidra med feedbackWe had a fantastic evening at this restaurant. The service was very well-organized and the food was outstanding. The steaks and starters received many compliments. Big thanks to Christina and her team for a memorable dining experience.
I used to frequent this restaurant a lot back in the day when it was known as The Rats Castle and it was always lively. I'm not sure why they changed the name, but it's not the same as I remember. I stopped by for a quick drink on a Sunday afternoon and sat outside at one of the dirty picnic tables along Sydenham Road. The only beer available was London Pride and the prices were higher than other pubs nearby. Overall, it was a disappointing trip down memory lane.
I recently went for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The food was amazing as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I spent much of a Saturday afternoon and evening here, I ate some food and drank some beer while watching some World Cup football. It’s a friendly local place with good food and friendly staff. It wasn’t crowded or rowdy, there’s seating inside and outside,...people are just chilling out. Credit cards, including Amex, are accepted.
From the day I walked into The Albany looking for a venue to host a birthday party, Mike was very welcoming, helpful and encouraging. After a tour around the pub and a few suggestions of ideas from Mike i decided to book the venue. Mike...was very quick to respond to any emails/questions leading up to the venue and even suggested a cocktail menu unique to our party theme which was a brilliant touch. When it came to the day of the party i was thoroughly impressed with the effort the staff went to dressing for the gatsby theme and they looked fantastic, which was highlighted by a number of guests afterwards. Everyone had a brilliant night and massive thanks to the chef for not only the quality of the food, but the amount of food for our budget. On arival the next day with a slightly fragile head, the staff had also cleaned our mess and decorations for us which i was thoroughly greatful for and allowed us to sit down and enjoy a Sunday roast dinner... which again was a pleasent suprise, a large amount of pork and all the trimmings. I literally cannot fault this pub, the service from the staff, quality of the food and the pub itself was superb. Highly recommended!
